Crossing Over - Exploring The Planes

The Prime Nexus consists of six planes, four of which are accessible by mortals (Soelcycl is unreachable). Dense barriers separate these accessible planes made up of Cords, which prevent physical matter from quickly passing through them. Any being that consists of a material body and soul attempting to pass through barriers is separated from its soul, creating an EI - Ectogenesis Interconnection and reconstituting the body. The physical form cannot travel through the barrier intact and survive the separation of the soul; instead, it is reformed as it passes through the thick barrier and birthed into the new plane. Reconstituted forms often have barrier fluid on them, as the barriers are believed to work through a form of cloning, taking the matter that made up the previous body and reconstructing it through incubation. This reconstruction adapts the individual to the new environment, allowing them to breathe foreign atmospheres and digest food that could have otherwise been lethal. The same process occurs when crossing back to one's home plane, with the EI returning to the body.

This process does not create POPs as it does not puncture the barriers.

Non-living matter cannot pass through barriers alongside living beings. It is recommended to send equipment and weapons separately, as barriers reconstitute this matter as part of the living being, resulting in less than desirable outcomes.
Sending food and pets through barriers is ill-advised. The experience can be traumatic for pets. Food can spoil (or worse) when passing through barriers.
