When planeshifting, you will wind up in the same place relative to Kipara that you were in Orīrī. This is called a reflection point. The scientists of The Cord used reflection points to create landmarks by constructing infrastructure in the same spots in both Kipara and Orīrī (this helped chart Kipara). In Kipara, this reflection created a "natural" phenomenon: in the same space that POPs exist in Orīrī, their reflection points will have Dead Magic Zones.

You can bypass reflection points by having a set destination in mind you have previously visited or an object/living being/memory of the destination.
