Pyraxian Depths

The Pyraxian Depths is a giant elliptical galaxy that includes The Bionia Zone. The Pyraxian Depths has a D25 isophotal diameter of about 43.26 kiloparsecs (141,095.25 light-years). It is made up of two rings, one which runs parallel to the horizon of Ybis, thus making only its stars distinguishable, and a second band, which can be seen from Ybis' night sky in a beautiful array of colours. A third band is present at the centre of the galaxy, nearly fully drawn into the galaxy's black hole.

The idea of the Pyraxian Depths was intentionally created by the Cord. However, the individual stars and star systems were randomly created from subconscious ideas rather than a refined plan. As a result, life has manifested itself on many other planets without the direct intervention of the Cord that Ybis experienced.
